Chatillon® TG35
COF Fixture (For LRXPLUS and LR5KPLUS Machines Only)
This fixture consists of a horizontal flat bed incorporating a suitable clamping device and sled. The underside of the sled has a layer of smooth-faced foam rubber. This fixture is used on the LRXPLUS and LR5KPLUS universal material testers.

Applications
Used to determine static and kinetic coefficient of friction of plastic, films, foils, papers, etc. The specimen is clamped securely to the horizontal bed and another sample of the specimen is clamped to the underside of the sled. Speed control is critical for COF testing, which is why this should be done using a material tester and not a force tester.

Includes fixture, clamping device and sliding bed.
