Child Resistant Enclosure - Lift Force

This test method involves the determination of the force necessary to open a child-resistant snap engagement packages of the type that require alignment of two points, followed by an upward force on a designated location on the enclosure.

A Chatillon^® systems may be used to measure the force applied to the lifting tab of a snap engagement cap, which has been rotated to the opening position so the locking tab can pass through the gap in the locking ring of the bottle neck finish.

Industry standards for determining the reverse ratchet torque is:
